ARGOSY UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW BACHELOR OF ARTS IN PSYCHOLOGY DEGREE COMPLETION ONLINE PROGRAM

(CHICAGO - August 3, 2006) Argosy University has announced the launch of its Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology degree completion online program in its College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. The online program is being offered through the Argosy University/Chicago campus. The 120 semester credit program, designed to help students build a broad understanding of social sciences theory and the application of these theories in real-world work environments, is currently enrolling for a September 2006 start.

"This new online program is designed to provide students interested in a career in psychology with a well-developed curriculum, regardless of geographic and lifestyle demands," says Dr. Gregory O'Brien, Argosy University system president.

The BA in Psychology degree completion online program is geared toward individuals who eventually want to pursue a career in psychology and expects to continue his or her education through a master's or doctoral program, and individuals who want a bachelor's degree that has a general applicability to many different careers. The BA in Psychology degree completion online program will prepare students for careers in human services, in entry-level positions such as counselor, case manager, and human resources administrator. Students can choose a concentration in Organizational Psychology or Substance Abuse.
