Financial Aid Opportunities
Argosy University participates in federal and other financial aid programs. We are committed to helping you explore every option for making your education affordable. Regardless of your income or financial situation, you may qualify for financial aid programs that can help finance your education.
Our Student Financial Services team is here to help you maximize your financial aid options. The following resources provide potential opportunities to reduce tuition costs:
- Federal Pell Grant: This is the basic federal grant program for undergraduate students. Eligibility for the Pell Grant is based on financial need. Need is determined by the data submitted on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For the 2009–2010 academic year, awards range up to $5,350.
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG): Funds from this federal program are extremely limited, so it is important to apply as early as possible. Awards are based on need and, as with Federal Pell Grants, they are determined from the need analysis of your FAFSA.
- Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG): The Academic Competitive Grant is available to students who are receiving a Pell Grant, are full time in their first or second year of college in a degree program, who graduated from High School in 2005 or later, and who took a program of study in high school that was considered to be rigorous.
- Federal Stafford Student Loan: Stafford loans are available to undergraduate and graduate students and must be repaid. Loans may be subsidized or unsubsidized, depending on demonstrated level of need. These loans are administered by lenders. A Master Promissory Note (MPN) must be completed.
- State Student Assistance Programs: State student assistance programs vary from state to state and may include loans, grants, and scholarships.
- Private loans, grants, and scholarships: A variety of grants, loans, and scholarships are available from a variety of private sources including corporations, institutions, community groups, and more.
These are only a sample of the types of financial aid that you may be eligible for. You can find more information about Federal Student Aid Programs at the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website. Student financial aid eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.
