      Associate of Science in Business Administration Online Program

      • The Associates of Science in Business Administration degree program is designed for students who may have just begun their college careers, earning under 30 credit hours, or who have yet to begin any college courses.

        Students who successfully complete this program can choose to transition into a Bachelor’s degree program, or pursue a career in positions for which there is a need for foundational business administration skills.

        The curriculum and instruction in this program is designed to help students focus their academic and professional development in a way that is consistent with their career objectives and experiences. In the program, students will follow a practical path to degree completion by taking core courses that introduce various business functions along with a selection of general education courses tailored to meet professional needs.

      • Program Learning Outcomes

        The AS in Business Administration degree program is designed to develop the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

        Program Outcome One: Communications
        Students will develop college level foundational skills as it pertains to listening, reading, comprehension, speaking, and writing. They will be expected to communicate proficiently in a business context.

        Program Outcome Two: Critical Thinking
        Students will learn the fundamentals of identifying and describing business problems and propose appropriate solutions. They will acquire proficiency in integrating analytical and problem solving skills to formulate conclusions and make business decisions.

        Program Outcome Three: Research
        Students will acquire basic research skills – both traditional and technology based - to enable them to methodically gather and sort through relevant information, and develop analytical and reporting skills.

        Program Outcome Four: Knowledge and Basic Application
        Students will learn the fundamental concepts of business administration and be able to define the roles and responsibilities of the functional areas of business. They will gain proficiency in applying concepts and frameworks to the milieu of business.

        Program Outcome Five: Interpersonal Effectiveness
        Students will be able to apply skills of interpersonal effectiveness to everyday interaction, learn how interpersonal effectiveness can help them achieve personal and professional goals.

        Program Outcome Six: Interdisciplinary skills
        Students will be able to relate concepts, ideas, research, topics systematically from different disciplines, academic traditions, and articulate solutions to solving real world business problems.
