"Employment of psychologists is expected to grow 12 percent from 2008 to 2018, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Industrial-organizational psychologists also will be in demand to help to boost worker productivity and retention rates in a wide range of businesses. Median annual wages of wage and salary clinical, counseling, and school psychologists were $64,140 in May 2008. The middle 50 percent earned between $48,700 and $82,800. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $37,900, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $106,840."
