      Master of Science in Non-Profit Management

      • According to National Center for Charitable Statistics, there are more than 1.5 million non-profit 501(c)3 organizations in the United States. These include charities, public and private foundations, advocacy, social and human services organizations, professional and trade associations and many more.

        These organizations require leaders with the business, managerial, and communication skills needed to help fulfill their missions while providing value-addressed constituent services. The expectations facing the nonprofit executive have never been more demanding. From the every-increasing service needs to hyper-competition for limited funding, organizational leaders are being challenged in ways never seen before.

      • Our online Master of Science in Non-Profit Management is designed to equip current and future executives with the knowledge and skills, and expertise essential to response effectively to these challenges This includes not only understanding related issues but the ability to effectively craft, implement and manage mission-based organizations. These skill-sets range from volunteer recruitment and strategic planning to fund development and program implementation.

        At Argosy University – Online Programs, our faculty are successful practitioners who bring their knowledge and experience to the classroom. This will ensure that our students have the opportunity to learn about these important issues within the non-profit sector:

        • Evaluating management practices in mission-based organizations in terms of human impact and financial impact over the short and medium term.

        • Applying ethical principles and identified best practices to the function of the non-profit organization.
        • Conducting stakeholder analysis and implement related management programs to satisfy identified needs.
        • Developing and implementing sustainable fund development programs with a real-world eye to an appropriate mix of public and private funding as well as earned income opportunities.
        • Managing the myriad of accounting, regulatory and lobbying requirements.
        • Implementing and revising motivational practices and systems that meet the strategies and constraints of the work environment.
        • Designing and executing employee communication plans toward expressed organizational goals.
