Did you know that undergraduate students at Argosy University Online Programs can submit a portfolio of their professional learning to determine if that learning can earn credit through a prior learning assessment or PLA?
PLA can help students potentially have a faster path to graduation – and save some money along the way – because PLA credits are earned even while students are continuing to take courses at Argosy University – Online Programs.
In fact, we have a number of students who have already gone through the process and have reaped the benefits! (Please note that the following are the results of the PLA process for specific students, every students’ prior learning is evaluated individually by our PLA evaluators and individual results may vary.)
A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology student had his professional training as a firefighter evaluated and was awarded 30 credit hours. This translates into projected savings of $16,200 and path to graduation that’s shorter by 15 months!
Three other Bachelor of Arts in Psychology students are projected to respectively save $8,100, $6,480, $1,620 and together shorten their path to graduation by almost 15 months.
And, in our Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program, yet another student is projected to save $9,720 and 9.75 months.
Have you explored Prior Learning Assessment to see if your professional learning might help you save time and money? You owe it to yourself to find out.
Students can submit a portfolio of licenses, certificates, or corporate training for assessment for PLA credits. Contact PLA for a brief online or over the phone interview:
