Admissions Requirements
The program length depends on your available transfer credit. Admissions requirements for this degree completion program include:
APPLICANTS WITH 0 - 12 COLLEGE CREDITS
General Admission:
Applicants who have earned 12 or fewer semester college credits must provide proof of high school graduation or GED and meet one of the following conditions for admissions:
- ACT Composite ≥18
- SAT Combined ≥870, or
- ACCUPLACER score for Sentence Skills ≥86 and Algebra ≥53
Admission with Academic Support:
Applicants who do not meet the above conditions for admissions will be admitted with Academic Support if they provide high school graduation or GED and meet one of the following criteria:
- ACT 14-17, or
- SAT Combined 660-869, or
- ACCUPLACER Computer Placement Test:
Reading ≥54 and Arithmetic ≥36
APPLICANTS WITH 13 OR MORE COLLEGE CREDITS
General Admission:
Applicants with 13 or more college credits most provide proof of high school graduation or GED and meet one of the following conditions for admission:
- Cumulative college GPA ≥2.0, or
- ACCUPLACER Computer Placement Test:
Sentence Skills ≥86 and Algebra ≥53
Admission with Academic Support:
Applicants who do not meet either of the above criteria will be admitted with Academic Support if they provide high school graduation or GED and meet the following condition:
- ACCUPLACER score for Reading ≥54 and Arithmetic ≥36
ADMISSION WITH ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Students admitted with academic support will be required to complete developmental English and/or Math courses unless they meet the following conditions:
- ENG099 Writing Review ? must meet one of the following:
- ACCUPLACER Sentence Skills ≥86
- ACT Verbal ≥18
- SAT Verbal ≥425, or
- Completion of collegiate level English course with a grade C or above
- MAT096 Mathematics Review I ? must meet one of the following:
- ACCUPLACER Algebra ≥53
- ACT Math ≥18
- SAT Math ≥440, or
- Completion of collegiate level Algebra course with a grade C or above
- A minimum written Minimum TOEFLŪ scores of 500 (paper version), 173 (computer version), or 61 (Internet version) for all applicants who native language is not English or who have not graduated from an institution at which English is the language of instruction.
ACCUPLACER POLICY
Applicants may not take the ACCUPLACER more than twice in a 30-day period, nor more than three times in a 12-month period. Applicants who do not pass all sections of the test on the first attempt may retake the entire test or only those sections not passed.
ADMISSION APPLICATIONS
All applications for admission must be submitted to the Admissions Department. An admissions representative will help interested applicants complete the following required documentation:
- Completed Application for Admission Form
- Application fee (non-refundable, except in California)
- Transcript Request Forms
- Official transcripts from all postsecondary schools attended
- Proof of high school graduation or GED or college degree from a regionally accredited institution or a nationally accredited institution approved and documented by the faculty and dean of the College of Psychology.
